Gritty In Pink is is on a mission to achieve gender equity and equality in the music industry, through our online marketplace, events, and community.
There is an urgent need to diversify the music industry, which is male-dominated and suffering from a lack of inclusion.
Our vision is to create a world in which women have equal opportunity, increased visibility, and access to a network of resources in the entertainment industry, and beyond.
After observing the lack of female musicians playing the Vans Warped Tour, the band Shiragirl notoriously crashed the festival in their pink RV.
Shiragirl returned to create an official stage for 300+ bands, including Joan Jett and Paramore.
The Shiragirl Stage was coined “Gritty In Pink” in the press, and was featured in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Warped Tour exhibit.
